Registered Massage Therapist Carleton Place

Jeremy Houle

Owner

Jeremy started his career as an RMT in 2014. In 2018 Jeremy decided to settle down in his home town of Carleton Place. After 2 years of working in Carleton Place and the overwhelming support from the community Jeremy opened Houle Healthcare on May 1st, 2021.

Jeremy’s passion for helping people was the catalyst for him to create a one-of-a-kind therapy and mobility clinic. Jeremy identified a gap in the healthcare service industry while working regularly with clients who require mobility aids. He decided it was time for some change and he was the right person for the job.

Jeremy combined his education as a healthcare professional, understanding of human functional movement and years of mechanical experience to beautifully meld two different industries. The Healthcare Professional and Mobility Aid industries existed in harmony but lacked proper understanding of each other. Due to this disconnect it results in clients not receiving the healthcare advice that is best for them. At Houle Healthcare the goal is to provide mobility aids when necessary and therapy when possible. Our clinic will change the way you think about therapy, mobility aids and pain relief.

Vicki Wong, PT Physiotherapist

BScHK, BScPT, MSc, PhD Candidate

Originally from New Brunswick, I have lived in Ottawa for 18 years working as a physiotherapist. I started university at the University of Ottawa in Human Kinetics before moving to Halifax to study physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. After working a few years, I decided to do my Master’s degree at the University of Ottawa again in Human Kinetics. My study was around chronic impairments at the shoulder after breast cancer surgery. Afterwards, I started my PhD studies at Carleton where I focus on the biopsychosocial approach to prolonged symptoms of sport-related concussion in adult athletes.

As a physiotherapist, I love to teach exercise and believe strength is usually key in rehab and returning to function. I have a keen interest in concussions and sport injuries. I have many years experience providing physio care to athletes in teams and at sport events locally, provincially, and nationally.

Administrative Team

Kelly Hiller
Operations Manager

Kelly is returning to the workforce full time after 20 years of being a full time Mom and a caregiver to her children one of which has a condition that requires her to be in a wheelchair full time. After years of advocating to make situations accessible for her daughter, and navigating the challenges of getting the right equipment in place she is very passionate about making this process as smooth as possible for clients in the same situation. If she could make even just one person feel a little less alone and overwhelmed in navigating their way back to mobility, she would consider that a job well done. She looks forward to being a part of your journey.
